  1. Hello Ruth! Thanks for the video. So what’s the story with the shows (i.e.:
Tosh.0) who use clips and snippets from cinema or other YouTube videos?
They are not necessarily trying to educate so much as amuse, albeit, they
have the cash and may have paid big for the usage. Is this kosher? Maybe
this is a grey area, but I’m about to start filming my new show for
YouTube, and I’d like to use some inspirational or scientific clips that
are circulating through the interwebs. The last thing I need is a lawsuit…
I’m not sure what I can do. Thank you and keep up the good work!!

  2. Hello Ruth great video, i had a question regarding fair use lets say i have
a wrestling show and i talk about this weeks news in mma and pro wrestling,
at the begging of the show would it be ok for me to use a 20 second clip
from wwe programming, only one clip and its a news show. Thanks

  3. Is it true fair use with movies/cinema would be using just sort clips and
not the whole movie.Like if you took two minuets for a presentation and
marked the film co, name and and didn’t over use it for entertainment
    …

  4. Hello, i have a question. I am building a fan web site about a basketball
player and I want to put some pictures in my gallery that belong to
someone. So i wrote him if I can use them and he replied ” Any photos I
have available with a Creative Commons license may be used for editorial
    purposes with proper attribution.
Please list as KeithAllisonPhoto.com” What does that mean, should I add his
name on the pictures or what ? And should i also put on my web site that
is in no way tied to that athlete and is unofficial before I put it on my
    web ?
    Thx

  5. My friend asked me to talk about how copyright applies to teachers. I think
it’s imperative that teachers understand how fair use applies to them but
also that they educate students on the basics of copyright so they don’t
develop a bad habit of thinking they can use anything they find on the
